This is a unique career opportunity to work for a highly successful private property investor to manage and organise a portfolio of residential and commercial property investments. This is a varied role that will see you working with tenants and leaseholders,contractors, solicitors and bank representatives to ensure the smooth and successful performance of the portfolio.
**Property Manager Responsibilities**:

- Support the portfolio owner with acquisitions, ensuring the right external professional partners are engaged where needed and administration is carried out accurately and on time, consulting with solicitors, property agents, planners/architects and financeas required
- Working with external property professionals (surveyors, building contractors) to understand and scope work required on properties, challenging and questioning effectively where relevant
- Drafting MOUs, leases, contracts etc and communicating effectively and professionally in writing with all involved parties
- Instructing and organising contractors to ensure relevant safety certificates (fire etc) are obtained and kept up to date
- Liaising with tenants/leaseholders and contractors to ensure repairs/renovations are conducted in a timely and cost-effective manner, challenging quotes where appropriate
- Obtaining and approving quotes for required works, liaising with finance for payment and keeping the finance system up to date
- Exercise discretion and sound, independent judgement at all times

**Property Manager Requirements**:
A highly effective communicator, you will be motivated by the challenge of spinning many plates without losing your absolute attention to detail; and will understand the discretion that this role requires. You will have experience in managing the day to dayrunning of a property portfolio and will be a natural people leader/organiser; able to coordinate and manage the input of contractors and other professionals (specialist advisors, solicitors) working in and on the properties.
The ‘must haves’:

- A good understanding of property management and the processes that sit behind managing a portfolio
- Exceptional, professional communication skills, able to tailor your style as appropriate to the audience
- Proven, accurate administration, IT and organisational skills
- A confident, friendly and professional style; able to build effective working relationships with internal colleagues and external partners, challenging effectively when needed
- Able to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion at all times

**Location: Peterborough**
**Contract Type: Permanent**

**Hours: Part Time, 4 days per week**
**Salary: up to £40,000 per annum (FTE) plus competitive benefits**
