We are currently working with a leading NW based SaaS company that have been experience massive growth over the last few years. They are looking for an experienced manager to inherit an already well performing team with the view to further grow and developthis sales function.
Their software is a SaaS platform sold in to FS, Professional Services, Accountancy and the AEC space. They have an informal, open and friendly culture where everyone matters and no idea is dismissed or progressed without proper consideration.
This is a key role for the business as the SDR team have grown to a point where it needs a dedicated manager to take it to the next level. It is also the position that will build the future top performers within the business.
You will be managing a growing sales development team tasked with prospecting into contacts, introducing them to the SaaS and identifying qualifying opportunities for the sale team. This is performed via various channels including marketing generated leads,social media research & self-generated leads. The team current use a best-in-class sales tech-stack.
In this role you will hire, train, and continuously develop the team of SDRs so that both their personal goals are achieved and there is a supply of talented people to progress their careers in the wider Sales and Commercial teams.
**Responsibilities - Internal Sales Manager**
- Hire, train and retain the SDR team
- Ensure SDR team deliver required levels of outbound-sourced pipeline generation
- Understand the product and value proposition well enough to provide ongoing training for the SDR team and to participate in own opportunity identification where appropriate
- Understand the Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) so that the SDR team’s prospecting activity is targeted to the correct personas
- Understand ongoing sales priorities and targets
- Provide feedback for what’s working and what’s not working, and receive feedback and implement changes to constantly improve
- Provide best practices and feedback to Sales Leadership and Sales Operations
**Experience Required: Internal Sales Manager**
- Previous experience leading a Sales Development Team
- Passionate about coaching and developing predominantly graduate level staff
- Familiarity with Sales methodology training, including opportunity qualification frameworks such as MEDDIC
- Eager to learn, adapt well and thrive through change
- Self-motivated to consistently meet performance goals
- Ability to manage time effectively and work independently
- Proactive, independent thinker with high energy and positive attitude
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and relationship management skills
- Excellent listening skills, Excellent telephone presence
- Previous experience with CRM and Sales Enablement tools, such as Salesforce, Salesloft, LinkedIn would be preferred but not essential
