**About the Team & Role**

We are looking for an efficient and enthusiastic administrator to join the BANES Complex Intervention and Treatment Team - a friendly multi-disciplinary team who are integrated with Avon & Wiltshire Partnership Trust to provide a combination of health and social care within our Older Adults service.

You will need to provide efficient and effective technical administrative support to individuals, managers and teams to maximise service continuity and quality, assisting Bath and North East Somerset Council in achieving its purpose and objectives. The role will undertake a range of standardised technical administrative activities.

BANES CITT support older people in the community with mental health and social care. You will need to have empathy along with a degree of resilience and good communication skills. The role will include both verbal and written communication with a wide range including service users, their families/carers, health and social care practitioners and other agencies involved with mental health and social care. The ability to take accurate messages and ensure they reach the right person will be essential.

**Main duties of the job**

This is a varied role and requires the post holder to be flexible and able to adapt to constant changes in workload. You will have the opportunity to attend numerous training courses and will have regular formal supervision. There will also be general office duties including minute taking and updating patient record systems in order to help the service run smoothly.

Hours of work are flexible but will need to fill 30 hours. This is an office based role at NHS House, Newbridge Hill, Bath and as the service also provides support from The Hollies in Midsomer Norton, access to transport to enable travel to both offices would be useful. The role sits within our Older Adults service alongside other administrative staff and a wide range of mental health and social care practitioners.

**About You**

**Essential criteria**
- GCSE level qualifications, including Maths and English, or equivalent.
- Experience of providing administrative support services.
- Knowledge of the area of the Council supported and any specific support knowledge related to that service area.
- Knowledge of a range of Council systems, processes, and procedures, some of which may be complex.
- Knowledge of relevant criteria and standards against which documentation will be reviewed.
- Knowledge of ICT packages including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders in a polite and efficient manner and recognising when to escalate to a senior colleague.
- Ability to respond to requests reprioritise tasks according to need and urgency.

**Desirable criteria**
- Administration experience in a health/social care setting.
- Ability to cope with behaviour which may be challenging at times.
