**JOB TITLE**

Refuse Collection Operative (Relief driver)

**LOCATION**

Covering The Lake District, West Yorkshire and beyond in our brand new, specially designed waste collection van **Ideally, you will be located near Kendal where the waste transfer station is.**

**MUST BE AVAILABLE DURING PEAK SEASON E.G EASTER, SUMMER HOLIDAYS, CHRISTMAS**

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

The main tasks include (but are not limited to):

- Driving around the countryside and narrow lanes collecting bin bags from holiday cottages in our company van.
- Disposing of the bin bags at the waste transfer station (Kendal)
- Using an app to log collections and follow routes.
- For the right applicant, the role could lead to more permanent work

**As a relief driver, you would be required to cover planned absence (staff annual leave) and also called upon at potentially short notice to cover staff sickness. You would be working on your own but in contact with office staff.**

**ABOUT YOU**

You will be a genuine team player who will share our passion for great service.

You’ll be driving our 3.5 tonne truck around the most scenic parts of the Lake District and beyond, so an excellent driving record is a must.

You will be representing us out on the road so you will need to be friendly, courteous and happy to chat with owners or guests who you meet. You will enjoy driving on your own but being in regular contact with our operations team in the office.

Phone provided for shifts.
Zero-hours contract.
