**The role of Compliance Assistant is integral to our Quality department to ensure the timely delivery of safe and compliant products. You will be responsible for ensuring all products and labels are compliant with Tobacco Product Directive, classification, labelling and packaging regulations. You will also provide support with quality checks and lab testing on production samples.**
**Main duties and responsibilities include**:

- Support with notifications submissions and Tobacco Product Directive, Classification, Labelling & Packaging and cosmetics compliance in United Kingdom, European Union and other foreign countries.
- Arrange the sending of samples to external labs for required testing
- Support to produce, maintain and update Safety Data Sheets for all products using ExESS software.
- Ensure all products, labels and packaging are compliant with current Medicine and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency, Tobacco Product Directive, Classification, Labelling & Packaging /Reach Regulations, Food and Drug Administration regulations in each country
- Liaise with suppliers, and monitor & maintain product specifications, technical data sheets, Safety Data Sheets and Certificate of Analysis.
- Request any potential new suppliers to complete supplier monitoring forms and chase the existing supplies with missing information.
- Attend departmental meetings to ensure we are operating in compliance with Tobacco Product Directive and Good Manufacturing Practices guidelines.
- Liaise with other teams to ensure all operations are running smoothly and any compliance and regulatory issues are resolved quickly
- Support Lab analyst with in-house testing using Gass Chromatography Mass Spectrophotometry and other lab techniques
- Support Quality Technician with daily qc checks and inspections when required.
- Support with internal auditing and any other Good Manufacturing Practices audits.
- Assist to investigate any regulatory or quality complaints
- Support Head of Quality and Compliance in maintaining Quality Management System ISO 9001 and Environmental Management System 14001.
- Ensure Compliance with Health & Safety policies and procedures
- Be proactive in identifying, gaining agreement and implementing improvements in production areas.
- Take responsibility for interfacing with regulatory agencies regarding any compliance matters.
- Undertake ongoing review and improvements to documentation and processes
- Ensure excellent service to our customer base, ensuring that expectations are not only met but exceeded.
- Liaise with managers and staff of other functions and departments to facilitate good communication and the elimination of barriers.
- Development, implementation and ownership of Risk and issues log for department
