**About the position**:
The purpose of the Export Junior Operator
- To learn all aspects of the Export Airfreight Industry, including courier. Multi-Functional

Daily / Weekly admin duties ( Post Flights / Filing )

To learn how to raise new export shipments and providing the customer service required.

Making bookings with Airlines.

Completing Export Customs Entries

Completing Quotes in the PPQ System

Supporting the Supervisor & Team Leader

Working within the Export Department, and being a Team Player.

Supporting BFPO Contract Exports holiday cover ( 0800 / 1630 )

You will be expected to follow strict processes and procedures to ensure that the information provided is complete, accurate and provided by the relevant individual.

**Key Tasks and Responsibilities will include**:

- Adheres fully to the companies Quality Management Systems/Standard Operating Procedures/Company Policies/Procedures (Company Handbooks) at all times.
- Has responsibility for the Health, Safety and Welfare of self and others and to comply at all times with the requirements of the Health & Safety regulations.

- Ensures confidentiality at all times, ensuring full compliance of Data Protection Act
- Ensures the efficient use of energy supplies and the effective management of waste.
- Answers telephones, meets and greets visitors and contractors as per company policies/procedures
- Maintains records in accordance with established policies and procedures and audit guidelines
- Attends and participates in internal meetings as appropriate
- Communicates and cooperates with internal departments as appropriate
- Participates in audits as appropriate
- Contributes to the maintenance of good housekeeping regimes.
- Undertakes continuous professional development (CPD) to maximise knowledge and understanding, ensuring compliance at all times with any relevant legislation.
- Contributes ideas and suggestions to support the continued growth of the company
- Delivers a quality customer/client service
- Identifies potential for new business development (where appropriate)
- Adheres to and fully supports the company’s continuous improvement programme
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
- Be committed to excellent service quality.
- Liaising with overseas branches and internal customers
- Dealing with internal and external customers on a day to day basis.
- Liaise with all new and regular customers on all queries and issues through regular contact by telephone
- Ensure any special requirements or instructions are clearly specified
- Ensuring accurate accruals and cost accuracy.
- Accuracy and timelines of documentation (HAWB/MAWB/DUCR/MUCR) processing meets KPI requirements
- Review all customer booking instructions ensuring these are understood and followed
- Ensure full understanding and strict compliance to customs processes and procedures
- Accurate and timely management of all mandatory milestone data
- Understanding of the airfreight product including Incoterms
- Responding to customer booking and overseas agents requests
- Research and provide competitive quotations to both internal and external customers and follow to ensure good success rate.
- Entering HM Customs entry procedures (NES).
- Raising sales invoices accurately within agreed KPI timescales
- Developing effective relationships and negotiating with carriers and overseas agents
- To carry out tasks set by the Team Leader
- Daily / weekly admin duties / Post flight Filling
- Completing quotes through PPQ quoting system.
- Support BFPO Exports holiday cover
- Comply with all relevant work and safety legislation, standards and organisational procedures and UK security regulations
- To fully understand and be conversant with the standard operating procedures
