Freightserve recruitment are looking for an Export Manager / Supervisor for a busy niche sector Freight Forwarder based in the Heathrow area.

Job Description:

- Manage the export team allocating daily tasks to team members
- Hands on with all Export duties including; completing MAWB's, HAWB's and customs entries
- Support with the ongoing development of export department team’s processes and operational procedures
- Ensure that all team members are trained to the required standard to enable them to fulfil their roles to an excellent level
- Be flexible and willing to support other operational and customer teams as required
- Fully support the department with an excellent standard of operational best practices
- Ensure that operational regulations are adhered to at all times and when required perform audits. This would include CAA, GDP and other operational regulations

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

- Planning and arrangement of international export consignments according to client instructions and requirements
- Completion of export documents from start to finish including post flights
- Completion of export customs entry to be under various CPC’s
- End to end monitoring of outbound movements
- Day to day invoicing and job costing
- Communication with overseas agents
- Ensure all enquiries or other communications are actioned promptly and efficiently
- Administer the operating procedures as defined by the client
- Communicate daily on deviations to the transport plan put in place
- Manage suppliers and the service they provide to us, directly and through the Product Manager
- Customer service is paramount and relationship building is essential from day one

Minimum Experience Requirements:

- Operational knowledge of Airfreight Exports
- Good ICT skills to include excellent knowledge of Excel
- Excellent communication skills both verbal & written
- Friendly, calm and professional manner
- Accustomed to working to fixed deadlines and under pressure
- Enthusiastic, flexible and self-motivated
- Well organized
- Ability to work closely with overseas network, commercial team and branches
- Flexible working hours may be required during busy periods
