**Join a Leading Air Freight Team at Heathrow**

We're currently recruiting for an experienced **Air Export Operator** to join a fast-paced, specialist airfreight operation near **Heathrow Airport**. This is a fantastic opportunity for a freight forwarder with strong experience handling **Dangerous Goods, Pharmaceutical, and Time-Critical shipments**, including **AOG (Aircraft on Ground) cargo**, to take the next step in their career.

You’ll be part of a dedicated export team supporting the global movement of urgent and sensitive cargo, working closely with airlines, ground handlers, and international clients from the heart of the UK’s airfreight industry.

**What You’ll Be Doing**:

- Managing **time-sensitive export shipments** including **AOG**, **pharmaceutical**, and **dangerous goods** via air
- Handling all export documentation (HAWBs, MAWBs, DGDs, customs entries) with full regulatory compliance
- Liaising directly with airlines, carriers, and handling agents at Heathrow
- Coordinating cold chain pharma logistics, ensuring all temperature and handling protocols are followed
- Ensuring full compliance with **IATA DGR**, **GDP**, and UK export regulations
- Preparing and sending pre-alerts, tracking progress, and issuing post-flight updates
- Quoting clients, managing bookings, and maintaining high levels of customer service
- Supporting cross-trade and general airfreight exports when required

**What You’ll Need**:

- **AOG experience is essential**:

- Strong freight forwarding background with hands-on experience in **Dangerous Goods, Pharma, and Time-Critical cargo**:

- Valid **IATA DGR certificate** and familiarity with GDP and temperature-controlled logistics
- Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced Heathrow freight environment
- Comfortable working independently and meeting tight deadlines

**Requirements**:

- Valid **IATA Dangerous Goods certification**:

- Trained **Security Cargo Operative (CO)**:

- 5-year checkable employment history (required for airport security clearance)
- **GCSE / A-Level standard or equivalent**:

- Fluent English; additional languages are a bonus

**System Knowledge**:

- Boxtop
- e-Customs / CDS
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)

Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
