As a Barclays Technical Business Analyst, you will be joining the Analytics Team within Post Trade technology area. Your responsibilities include creating ETL pipelines within the AWS data fabric (fundamentally using S3 storage, Lambdas, step function orchestration, DynamoDB meta data, glue jobs and redshift-based warehouses, amongst other AWS services). The main purpose of your role will be to serve high priority regulatory requests via using SQL to mine data from Redshift.

**What will you be doing?**
- Facing off to one or more business areas/SME's and understand high level regulatory requirements
- Translating requirements into documentation/technical specs and ultimately into coded solutions, mainly via tactical solutions such as SQL extracts from redshift
- Eliciting, validating, and documenting regulatory requirements in either Business Requirement Documents or via appropriate JIRA workflows
- Owning the delivery of the work assigned and driving it to successful completion, working proactively with stakeholders
- Supporting development of the test strategy; planning and testing cases working in conjunction with the business and development teams
- Soliciting engagement with SME population, particularly where support is low or challenging
- Facing off to AVP/VP/Director level stakeholders
- Negotiating with senior stakeholders to get buy-in for decisions and proposed changes or recommendations

**What we’re looking for**:

- Excellent data analytics skill set, inclusive of SQL, Python, and the like
- Hands on experience with Data Visualisation tools such as QlikView, Tableau, and the like
- Previous experience of handling urgent regulatory requests, going from requirements gathering through to delivery of the end solution
- Experience of working with Risk data/Trading Data/Reference data (Instruments/Books/ Client static data) in banking; exposure to regulatory reporting systems is advantageous

**Skills that will help you in the role**:

- Exposure to CI/CD tools such as GIT and Jenkins
- Knowledge of the main asset classes traded within an investment bank, and associated static data
- Knowledge around data warehousing, dimension modelling and architecture
