Logistics Administrator

A leading player within the Automotive sector, who are at the forefront of electric drive technology, are looking to recruit a **Logistics Administrator** for the company’s internal logistics division, based at offices in the **Heathrow area.**
**Main Purpose of the Role**:
The Logistics Administrator will be responsible for shipment tracking, reporting and financial job costing/invoicing within the central operations Ocean and Air Freight Forwarding / Logistics Team.
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Ensure that financial job costing, invoicing, and reporting for freight is carried out in accordance with company standards
- Adherence to operational margins for modal transport
- Research and resolve billing inquiries and issues, liaising with coordinators
- Ensuring transport activities are operated in accordance with internal and customer service requirements
- Daily report resolution.
- Problem solving and corrective actions as appropriate
- Daily import/export shipment tracking for continued visibility to the wider business.
- Accurate data entry and Administration
- Demonstrate an ability to reduce transport cost and improve margins
- Customer service ownership existing customer base
- Make continuous improvement through investigation and recommendation
**To Be Considered**:
- Proven experience within an administrative role, preferably within a logistics / supply chain environment
- Good inter-personal skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to demonstrate analytical and logical thinking
- Good analytical and numerical skills
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office
- Able to work in a high volume, transaction driven environment
- Highly organised, detail orientated, self-motivated and able to meet specific deadlines
**Advantageous Qualities**:
- Working experience in international Air & Ocean Logistics across key markets within leading Shipping line, Airfreight Forwarder or 3PL (FCL & LCL EU import/export and cross trade)
- Proven experience of core Air & Ocean freight trade-lanes and markets (Americas/APAC/Europe)
- Operational experience of Air & Ocean planning processes and tools
- Good knowledge of Marine Transport regulations
- Previous automotive logistics experience is beneficial
- European or Asian language fluency is advantageous.
