**Role Purpose**:
Working within a newly established site at London Heathrow to deliver a first class service to our customers. Working Strictly to procedures and industry regulations. An in-depth knowledge of freight forwarding is required for the successful running of the Warehouse.

Based in LHR, we have two warehouses running two very different operations. One warehouse is dedicated to the Life Sciences & Healthcare and the other warehouse houses our general cargo and screening as well as our Full Vehicle Logistics and Fresh operations.

Both warehouses are regulated sites by the CAA, there a strict background check and full 5 year checkable history is a must for this role.

To ensure that all training required to carry out duties is completed on time, to ensure that all freight being handled is treated with the care and attention it demands. Advising the Warehouse Manager of any shipment deviations that could affect the product or the onward transit of the freight whilst delivering a high standard of customer service to all customers, internal & external.

**Main duties**:

- To ensure the processing of customer orders and requests in line with guidelines / internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are being met by the Warehouse team
- Accurate Inbound handling of shipments in a timely manner
- Data entry into the Warehouse Management system in an accurate and timely manner
- Screening via X-Ray, FREDDS and ETD machine.
- Picking & packing of customer orders in line with customer requirements
- Checking and labelling of cargo in line with supporting documentation
- Preparing cargo for dispatch, including the handling of temperature sensitive shipments.
- Loading & despatching of cargo with maximum efficiency to meet company KPIs
- Undertaking of general Warehouse and administration duties as required
- Warehouse cleaning to be completed as per agreed schedule and recorded on company documentation
- Handling of various passive and active packaging solutions
- Handling of temperature controlled shipments, as well as general cargo and other specialized services (e.g Dangerous Goods etc)
- Niche movements of high value cars for a number of leading OEM’s

Uphold company’s Health & Safety standards and policies at all times

**Key Competencies**
- Knowledge of freight forwarding
- Ability to screen freight is desirable
- Knowledge of the handling of pharmaceutical shipments by road, air and sea
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work to strict regulations and procedures
- Competent in using hand-held scanners and electronic stock management systems
- Must have a flexible approach and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities within the business
- An understanding that you are directly involved in the company’s performance

**Skills and Experience**:

- Experienced in the handling of import / export multi modal shipments
- Well versed in the Good Distribution Practice (GDP) guidelines is advantageous

Ability to carry out screening duties where needed.

**Qualifications**:

- Good standard of secondary education
- IATA DGR trained would be advantageous
- Counter Balance and Reach forklift licenses beneficial
