Lusona is recruiting for a payroll associate for a 12 month FTC for the dynamic payroll team of this highly reputable firm of Chartered Accountants in Edinburgh. The payroll team is responsible for payroll clients ranging in size from one employee to 400 with varying pay frequencies. Reporting to the payroll manager, you will be responsible for your own varied portfolio of clients from start to finish. Core responsibilities will include:

- Preparation of weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls for a varied portfolio of clients covering all aspects of payroll from start to finish including pension auto-enrolment responsibilities
- Completion of payroll reviews before issue to clients
- Developing and maintaining client contact and relationships
- Assisting with business development projects and opportunities
- Liaison and communication with Managers, Partners and other departments within the firm
- Ad hoc assignments

Coming from an accountancy practice or payroll bureau background, you will have a minimum of two years client payroll experience. In addition, you will have excellent written and oral communication skills; developed team-working skills and a proven ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines. Knowledge of Star payroll or Sage payroll professional software is advantageous but not essential.
