The role of HR Manager is the result of an internal promotion. Our client is a hugely successful business and part of global group, with a focus on growth. Reporting to the HR Director, the HR Manager sill have day to day responsibility for the implementationof the HR strategy and the management and delivery of a fast-paced, results driven and proactive HR function which enables the continued success of the business.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead the HR team on all generalist HR issues including all recruitment, disciplinary, grievance, capability and performance management
- Coach managers and team leaders to enable them to deal effectively with ER matters including discipline, grievances, consultation and negotiations
- Lead and support with absence management, investigations and disciplinary hearings
- Manage the reward and recognition strategy to attract and retain the best people and which reflects the company’s vision and values
- Manage the talent acquisition process, working with further education establishments to create an innovative talent pipeline
- Identify training needs and develop a learning and development strategy identifying appropriate grants and revenue streams
- Support and develop talent management and succession planning frameworks
- Review, develop and implement people policies to drive continuous improvements
- Develop an internal communications strategy to improve levels of employee engagement
- Work closely with Occupational Health and the Health, Safety and Environmental team
- Lead on equality, diversity and inclusion
- Develop initiatives to improve the mental health and wellbeing of our people
- Develop effective working relationships with the SLT, management team and European HR colleagues
- Review and development of all HR systems and manage all transactional HR processes and procedures
**Person Specification**
- CIPD Level 5 or above
- Significant experience in dealing with people and supporting line managers in all aspects of ER Issues
- Solid and up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation
- Experience of supporting organisational change
- Strong leadership and influencing skills
- Strong organisational skills
