**Are you looking for interesting work, with lots of variety and good opportunities for development?**
**Do you enjoy working within a team where you feel supported and valued?**
**Do you want a job that provides satisfaction, where you can see the impact of your hard work and know that you’re helping others?**
**Have you considered a career in administration at Kingston Hospital?**
The NHS employs more than just Nurses and Doctors. Did you know, 24% (that’s almost 1 in 4) of our workforce is made up of admin and clerical staff?
Without our vast and varied administration teams ensuring everything is working behind the scenes, our clinical teams wouldn’t be able to provide the excellent care that our patients need.
A career in administration at Kingston hospital involves meaningful work, where you can directly see how what you do makes a difference to patients. Where your hard work is recognised and rewarded by development and opportunities to progress. And where notwo days are the same.
It’s varied, it’s fast, it’s challenging and it’s waiting for you If you want a career that provides stability in an uncertain world, great prospects for development, a competitive salary AND outstanding benefits, these are definitely opportunities to consider
We are currently recruiting for Administrators and receptionists:
**Administrators / Patient Pathway Coordinators**
This role could be a great fit if you enjoy variety, learning new things and making a difference in the lives of others.
There’s a lot of close patient contact in this role. It’s a modern take on the secretary role but more patient focused than clinician focused, where you’re the liaison between the clinician and the patient along their care pathway.
What’s enjoyable about this role is that you develop a rapport with some patients, getting to know their story and why they’re coming for treatment, so it’s a role where you can really feel the difference you’re making, which is truly rewarding and providesa lot of job satisfaction.
There are also many development opportunities if you’re someone looking to progress your career and learn new skills.
**Receptionist**
If you’re a people person who likes to be busy, this could be the role for you A typical day will involve checking patients in, answering enquiries, and directing patients to various locations. Then there’s booking follow up appointments throughout theday and helping resolve cancelled and rescheduled appointments. You need to be organised and enjoy collaborating with other teams as some patients have complex requirements
What’s enjoyable about this job is meeting a variety of people and helping patients have a good experience while at the hospital. It’s surprising how every day is different and very unpredictable; no two days are the same. What’s really rewarding is receivingnice feedback from patients. It can be a stressful and worrying time for them, so a smile and a helpful manner goes a long way in improving their experience.
No previous NHS experience is needed, just GCSE grades A-C (or equivalent) in English and Maths, basic IT and good communication and customer service skills, along with experience of working with the public, but above all the right attitude and a genuinedesire to make a difference to the health of our local community by helping provide excellent care.
In return, we offer...
- Competitive salaries ranging from £22,444 pa to £36,265 pa (including outer London weighting) and excellent benefits, such as 27 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), rising to 33 days after 10 years of service, plus a highly competitive pension scheme.
- Significant opportunities for career development and further study
- Opportunities to learn essential transferable skills such as customer service, IT, data analysis, team working, prioritisation and planning. All of which will enhance your CV
- Investment in your wellbeing through on-site yoga, Pilates and exercise classes for staff and discounted gym memberships
