**Dawson Levy Resourcing**have a brilliant opportunity for a HSE Advisor to join a leading client of ours on a permanent basis in Bristol.
**Role Overview**:
An opportunity has arisen for a Health, Safety and Environment Advisor to join the team. You will support the Framework HS&E Manager by implementing the HS&E strategy and systems to ensure that the delivery of our operations meets exemplary safety, health,and environmental standards. This role supports improvement and consistency in performance, ensuring compliance with management systems, and implementing continual improvement initiatives.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Foster and support an inclusive, open, transparent, and collaborative environment that supports our HS&E culture, maturity, and behaviours to deliver HS&E excellence.
- Support the implementation of our HS&E strategy to drive continual improvement through the business addressing short-, medium-, and long-term growth and learning.
- Promote a positive HS&S culture which is consistent with Challenging Beliefs and Affecting Behaviours programme and business leadership ambitions.
- Implement our HS&E Management System, taking account of client requirements, to align with our overall strategy and driving performance through our processes and standards.
- Provide technical and specialist guidance to line and site management in the implementation of HS&S programmes and initiatives.
- Engage with internal and external key stakeholders, including client, supply chain partners, regulatory authorities, industry bodies, and colleagues, through the plan, prepare and delivery of project lifecycle.
- Provides HS&E input to operational teams from the planning stage through to completion of any works, through guidance, advice, and support to support proactive planning and implementation of our HS&E standards. Takes appropriate action where our standardsare not being met.
- Utilises HS&E performance KPIs to review performance and drives continual improvement. Feeds back outputs for wider strategic review and consideration.
- Contributes to continual improvement to unlock gains in HS&E performance and mitigate risk to GT that could occur through HS&E-related issues.
- Report to project management teams on a regular basis and attend meetings as required for and on behalf of the project team, attends meetings as required.
- Escalate and report any HS&E concerns to the Framework HS&S Manager.
- Proactively collaborate with our teams on all HS&E matters which may affect our projects.
- Response Plans, high-risk method statements and risk assessments, etc..
- Carries out HS&E reviews and inspections at our workplaces on a regular basis, conducts site safety and environmental audits, and undertakes ISO 14001 audits to ensure compliance with our management systems. Records in our systems and advises managementas appropriate.
- Assists in onboarding and management review of our supply chain partners applicable to project or business scope where necessary.
- Supports our learning and development programme by preparing and delivering training and awareness sessions, instructions, best practice guidance, codes of practice, environmental information, etc. to our operational and leadership teams, our clients andat industry events as required.
- Responsible for investigating incidents and non-conformities, production of reports and leading opportunities for improvement, as appropriate.
- Support or lead incident investigations to identify root causes and recommendations to prevent recurrence. Monitor and manage incident reports within the designated timescale and manage close out on the M2i system. Liaise with regulatory bodies in the managementof incidents.
**Experience and Qualifications**:
- Aware of individual HS&E responsibilities and adheres to company HS&E policy and procedures.
- Able to demonstrate alignment and work in line with our values - Excellence, Passion, Integrity and Collaboration.
- Good communicator, written and verbal; ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Highly collaborative and outstanding relationship building capacity, with strong communication, negotiating, engaging, and influencing skills -fostering a one-team approach across a complex organisation.
- Thrives in complex, dynamic, working environments and relationships.
- Able to evidence a well-structured, systematic approach to identify and analyse problems, understand risks, and implement appropriate solutions.
- Ideally experienced in either infrastructure, water, or similar regulated markets.
- Proven in HS&E management, systems, risks, and legal frameworks.
- Experienced in delivering environmental role throughout the project lifecycle (prepare, design and construction).
- Knowledge of data analytics and reporting systems.
- Holds a NEBOSH Construction or General Certificate or is working towards one.
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel across projects / contracts in region.
**Desirable**:
- Member of IOSH or IIRSM (TechIOSH as a minimum).
- CMIOSH or working towards.
- Diploma NVQ Level 3 or above
