You will be responsible for delivering agreed business improvement plans (based on your expert evaluation of local HS&E performance) and actively responding to incidents. You will also support the local drive to the best HS&E practice.

**What you will be doing**:
You will support local management in identifying hazards or significant changes, assessing risks and identifying the associated risk reduction or mitigation actions. You will also monitor local risks and action closure as part of HSE governance.
You will also:
- **Leadership and Culture - **Support sector and functional initiatives. Promote the importance of HSE and assist in raising the standards through local management and supporting cultural change.
- **Governance**:
- Engage with local stakeholders to establish a governance structure, monitor the subsequent effectiveness, identify, and escalate issues and be the HS&E point of contact.
- **Standards and Compliance - **Identify requirements, undertake gap analysis, support the development and delivery of improvement programmes, monitor progress and interface with Regulators.
- **Emergency Planning**:
- Support the development of local emergency planning scenarios, responses and ensure sites are informed.
- **Shared Learning - **Coach supervisors to investigate incidents. Respond to incidents, collate data, identify trends and produce reports. Report on action closure, escalate issues and implement local improvements.
- **Performance Reporting - **I **dentify, collect and present additional local data requirements. Analyse data to monitor local HSE Performance and initiate local reduction / improvement actions.
- **Planning**:
- Help prepare specific improvement activity plans, clarifying risk-based improvement priorities and requirements for the development of the HS&E programme.
**Who we are looking for**:

- NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent) with experience working in a HS&E role
- Background in manufacturing & engineering would be preferential, but not essential.
- Motivated, self-starter who can drive projects and issues through to resolution and take ownership for solution implementation.
- Confident communicator who can engage and influence at all levels within the business.
- Good knowledge on HS&E management systems
