**Duties of the Role**
We require a part-time Engagement and Administrative Assistant to assist the Engagement Manager with activities including the organisation and delivery of student surveys, managing social media channels, as well as attendance at Arrivals and Recruitment days. This includes working outside of normal working hours, such as evenings and weekends, throughout the year. They will also assist the Admin and Allocations Team with administration tasks, such as answering student queries, allocating rooms, invoicing, and booking travel to help facilitate the delivery of a high-quality customer focused service. The role is located at the Colchester Campus and the post holder maybe expected to travel to other campuses.
**Skills and qualifications required**
You should be educated to GCSE Grade C in English and Maths and have a recognised qualification in Customer Services or relevant professional experience. You should have considerable experience in providing efficient customer service and administration within a busy environment and be confident dealing with people. You will also have experience of Data Protection, good IT skills, excellent team working, communication and organisational skills are essential. It is desirable for you to have had experience being involved in events and giving presentations.

**Contract**:Permanent, part-time
**Hours**:19 hours per week to be worked as required within the working operational window of 7am to 6pm, 5 days in 7 days (see general information).
**Salary**:£22,469 per annum (£11,234.50 per annum pro rata for part-time)
**Location**:Office based in Colchester. The University has implemented adjusted working arrangements for many staff, with a significant number working remotely. Working arrangements will be discussed at interview.

**Purpose of job**:
To assist the Engagement Manager with engagement activities, including Arrivals and Recruitment days, as well as the Admin and Allocations Team with administration tasks, to help facilitate the delivery of a high-quality customer focused service. The role is located at the Colchester Campus and the post holder maybe expected to travel to other campuses.
This office element of this post is based in the Accommodation team in the Student Services Hub.

**The duties of the post**
The postholder will assist the Engagement manager in the organisation and delivery of key arrivals and recruitment events, such as Open and Applicants Days, which includes working each of these events, which take place during and outside of traditional office hours, such as evenings and weekends throughout the year. They will also support the Accommodation Admin Team with all administrative tasks, to enable smooth delivery of key services to our students.
**The duties of the post include**:
- Help support the organisation of, and attendance of all University key recruitment events that take place during the year, including Applicant Days, Open Days and Move Out. This includes all face-to-face weekday, evening, and weekend events, as well as virtual events (including some presentations).
- Assist the Engagement Manager and Marketing team with the organisation and delivery of other engagement activities on campus, including Welcome Week
- Support the Engagement Manager in the delivery and promotion of the annual student housing survey.
