The East Suffolk and North Essex Foundation NHS Trust is currently looking for an enthusiastic, conscientious and motivated individual to join the Catering Team as an Administration Assistant.
The post holder will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and clerical support to the Catering Services department and associated services, under the supervision of the Catering Manager based at Colchester Hospital.
The role requires the post holder to provide a range of administrative support Administrator/Catering Department.
The post holder will be required to engage with ward & departmental staff, colleagues, line managers, and other stakeholders and to deliver the highest standards of customer care and service to ensure a pleasant, safe, clean and welcoming environment.
- Ensure Compliance with the Trusts FSIs and Standing Orders, Policies & Procedures and all relevant Facilities codes of practise, ensuring professional standards are maintained.
- To answer the department telephone throughout the day and direct the caller to the relevant person/take messages.
- To fill in due diligence records weekly - process Temperature logger reports.
- To input/place orders via the Integra system.
- Responsible for dealing with Supplier issues ie: late deliveries / shortages.
- To keep various spreadsheets/registers up to date.

- To observe Health & Safety regulations at all times.
- To attend staff induction and training and an annual appraisal interview
- To maintain a smart appearance at all times, wearing the allocated uniform, including the correct Protective Personnel Equipment (PPE) if required. To report to Manager if and when any of these items become damaged.
- To answer the department telephone throughout the day and direct the caller to the relevant person/take messages.
- To fill in due diligence records weekly - process Temperature logger reports.
- To input/place orders via the Integra system.
- To receipt deliveries on the Integra system and answer queries from Finance.
- Responsible for dealing with Supplier issues ie: late deliveries / shortages.
- To keep various spreadsheets/registers up to date.
- To input data to various spreadsheets.
- To assist the stores staff with the stock control and store duties at busy times.
- To assist Managers/Staff with daily adhoc requests.
- To carry out any other reasonable task requested by Catering Management.
- To provide catering support in the event of Major Incident or other Site Emergency.
- To work as part of a team, be flexible in approach to duties.
- To control stock of uniform and cutlery/crockery.
- To log/chase requests with the helpdesk.
