What it's like to work here:Reporting to the Property Operations Manager, you'll work with the wider Peak District Visitor Experience team, sharing ideas and best practices in how to connect visitors to your site. You'll be the lead for visitor experience for the site and will work alongside commercial, welcome and ranger teams to ensure a high quality of experience as well as running creative events.
The Longshaw Estate is often used by many as the gateway into the Peak District and is part of the larger National Trust Peak District Portfolio.
What you'll be doing:As one of the key visitor hubs in the Peak District, Longshaw plays a key role in offering inspiring outdoor experiences linking visitors to our nature, heritage and landscape. You'll work with the Property Operations Manager to design and deliver a programme of seasonal events which are audience led and ensure accessibility for our visitors. Day to day you will lead in ensuring high presentational standards, working with other departments on high quality service and reviewing and planning signage and interpretation across the landscape. Working with the Visitor Experience Officer, you'll occasionally be asked to support with school visits and nature tot events.
You'll manage volunteers across events, experience and kitchen garden to make our experiences even more special and memorable for our visitors.

Who we're looking forTo deliver this role successfully, you'll need:
- experience of delivering inspirational engagement activities
- good people skills, enabling good working relationships with those in your team and across the property
- to understand how to interpret significant collections to varied audiences
- excellent organisational skills, and the ability to time manage projects successfully
- good interpersonal skills, able to deal with visitors in a variety of situations
- a flexible customer focused approach with experience in delivering high standards of customer service
- experience of working with and supervising volunteers
