Reporting to the UK Accounts Payable & Expense Manager, the Accounts Payable Assistant will be responsible for performing accounting and clerical duties related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions. The Accounts Payable Assistant will also provide assistance to the Finance team and wider business with all Accounts Payable related queries and concerns.

Duties will include:

- Preparing payments for a number of overseas offices
- Managing supplier returns, processing credit notes or replacement goods
- Preparing monthly supplier payment run and posting payments within SAP
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving supplier queries
- Being proactive in anticipating developments and identify accounts and issues that will require special attention
- Handling disputed accounts and negotiate to bring supplier payment into line with agreed terms
- Undertaking reconciliations when required to agree balances due to suppliers

You will also possess:

- Ability to build relationships at all levels within the organisation
- Microsoft Office - particularly Excel experience
- Ability to deal with supplier queries and communicate at all levels
- Strong problem solving skills with the tenacity to resolve issues swiftly
- Working with an integrated ERP system would be highly desirable
- Overall AP finance process knowledge and experience including reconciliations
