An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior HR Advisor to join our Corporate HR Advisory Team here at the NHS Business Services Authority on a permanent basis.
The Senior HR Advisor plays an essential role in ensuring the provision of a pro-active HR service to all colleagues and managers enabling the business to achieve its strategic objectives. Managing a team of HR Advisors and HR Coordinators you will provide leadership, drive continuous improvement and empower, motivate and develop the team to successfully deliver. In addition you will have the opportunity to lead and contribute to a range of people projects and delivery plans.

**In this role you are accountable for**:
As Senior HR Advisor, you will be solution focused and take an evidence based approach, identifying root causes on ongoing issues and developing solutions to improve. Working collaboratively across the business you will be an advocate of continual improvement within the HR Advisory team. In this role your accountabilities include:
Leading and owning the ongoing review of the HR policy framework, ensuring these support the NHSBSA's overall strategy. This will include collection of data and analysis, creation and implementation, engaging with appropriate stakeholders throughout. This will include a number of terms and conditions of employment.
Developing an expert approach to organisational change for the NHSBSA, such as TUPE, this will involve comprehensive reviews of complex employment legislation, ensuring the future NHSBSA approach adheres to legislation and best practice.
Managing a team of HR Advisors and Coordinators, providing leadership, and driving continuous improvement by empowering, motivating, developing and inspiring the team to deliver. Reviewing progress and team performance, reviewing workloads, and prioritising as necessary.
Ensuring ongoing development and maintenance of the shared drive and internal hub pages where HR Advisory information is easy to locate and ensure that the HR advisory team are taking all opportunities to encourage self service of managers for policy and guidance information.
Design and deliver master classes/interventions to leaders at all levels within the NHSBSA on key HR policies and procedures to ensure knowledge and awareness are embedded, in collaboration with OD and L&D teams enable the HR Advisors to also deliver the training following awareness sessions.
Continually developing your professional knowledge and skills by keeping up to date with external trends and best practice in the areas of expertise and HR more broadly. This will include keeping up to date on highly complex employment legislation and NHS developments (including terms and conditions), providing advice and interpretation on the implications of such changes, and cascading this knowledge within the HR Advisory team.
Owning HR projects (or parts of projects) and continual work streams, taking full responsibility and proactive accountability for delivery, with direction and support from HR leadership. Including continual review and the measurement of impact and value add of these.
