Oxford, United Kingdom Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Full time

We have exciting opportunities for individuals with a proactive and can-do attitude, willing to learn and adapt to a fast-paced office environment.

The Cardiothoracic administration team at OUH is seeking to appoint enthusiastic, motivated and organised individuals to join our patient pathway administrator team. This is a very busy role working for consultant colleagues and the associated medical team. The role requires sensitive and effective communication with patients on behalf of the consultants, and with other hospitals and clinical staff.

The work is varied and challenging. You will be required to use our voice recognition system, use the EPR system and other systems including Solus, Imaging Request Portal and Medcon.

You may need to undertake any other patient pathway administrator duties as requested by the consultants and the extended team of registrars and nursing staff within that team. You will also be required to work as part of the larger patient pathway team and cross cover for sickness and annual leave.

Sound communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to follow instructions and willingness to learn. In-house training will be given on software packages specifically used in this Division.

When fully trained we offer a hybrid working agreement under the trusts home working policy.

We are a dynamic and friendly team and look forward to hearing from you.

The Trust comprises four hospitals - the John Radcliffe Hospital, Churchill Hospital and Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Headington and the Horton General Hospital in Banbury.

Our values, standards and behaviours define the quality of clinical care we offer and the professional relationships we make with our patients, colleagues and the wider community. We call this Delivering Compassionate Excellence and its focus is on our values of compassion, respect, learning, delivery, improvement and excellence. These values put patients at the heart of what we do and underpin the quality healthcare we would like for ourselves or a member of our family. Watch how we set out to deliver compassionate excellence via the OUH YouTube channel.
