We have an exciting opportunity for an administrator/medical secretarial support to join our new Intensive Community Rehabilitation Service.

The Intensive Community Rehabilitation Team is intended to offer an alternative for up to 50 service users, who historically may have utilised inpatient rehabilitation and other placements both locally and nationally. The team will have the capacity to offer intensive support for individuals in their existing homes or high-quality tenancies of their choosing. The approach will embrace partnership working, whilst accessing community resources within a strong MDT approach. There will be a strong ethos on rehabilitation, recovery and promotion of independence.

Initially they may be involved in developing the team base and establishing various systems and processes for the new team base. The role will then transition to providing all aspects of administration support including providing the medical secretarial support for the 0.6 wte consultant.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual not only to establish their own role but also be integral to establishment/formation of systems and processes within a new service.

To provide a comprehensive administration and secretarial support to the ICRT team and members of the integrated medical team, assisting them in achieving their objectives and to liaise with all relevant and appropriate services.

The post holder will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of administrative and secretarial duties, which include the receipt of all correspondence, attendance at MDT weekly meetings and maintaining the effective administration of the team. Audio transcription and text processing of clinical letters, reports and other correspondence as required by the team.

To act as a focal point of contact and be responsible for the dissemination of information, messages and enquires for the medical team, liaising with multidisciplinary team members, other health professionals and staff within the Trust, GP’s, Social Workers, Service Users, Carers and any other appropriate external agencies.
