Welcome & Service Assistant

Working within a bustling atmosphere and as part of a passionate team, it’s your role as a Welcome & Service Assistant to provide our supporters with fantastic customer service, setting them up for an amazing experience and enabling them to make the most of their day at Belton.

**This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year.**

What it's like to work here:Reporting to the Welcome and Service Assistant Manager, and operating within the Visitor Operations and Experiences department, you'll be driving visitor welcome at Belton. Working in the Visitor Reception you will ensure the highest standards of service at all times, and continue to deliver this when supporting the department in the outdoor adventure playground, The Ride indoor play space and the car park. What you'll be doing:As the largest conservation charity in Europe we work hard to raise funds, so that we can continue to care for all the heritage in our trust. Visitors are a vital part of what we do, so you’ll be responsible for providing an excellent service to all our visitors, at every stage of their journey with us. As a Welcome & Service Assistant, it’s your role to provide our supporters with a perfect welcome, setting them up for an amazing experience and enabling them to make the most of their day at Belton.

You’ll be responsible for answering queries and making sure visitors can find, or have access to, everything they need for their visit. Understanding how and why we engage our supporters is key. Working within our spirit of place and alongside the Visitor Welcome Team, you will grow our member support and link everything we do back to our cause. This will include responsibility for actively promoting and selling memberships and Gift Aid on Entry in line with departmental targets. You will also be responsible for shift leading at the Visitor Reception.

You’ll deliver high standards of presentation at the property and ensure all our communications with our visitors are clear and consistent, from the first click on the website, to the posters and signs around the property.
