An exciting opportunity is now available at LEW’s Head Office in the buying/commercial department If you’re looking for a challenge, a career in purchasing for one of the top 10 independent electrical wholesalers in the UK might be your next step Whilst Electrical Wholesale Experience is very desirable for this position, it is not necessarily essential if you have the drive to learn and ambition to succeed.

Full training for the role will be provided, as well as industry specific additional learning from the EDA (Electrical Distributors Association) and contributions towards professional qualifications, where appropriate.

KEY SKILLS, RESPONSIBILITIES & OBJECTIVES
- Supporting the purchasing team on a day to day basis, ensuring stock levels are maintained.
- Negotiating with B2B suppliers to produce savings on bulk orders and find other cost savings on other products or services.
- Proactively monitoring and reducing dead stock in line with company targets.
- Work closely with sales staff members to manage their requirements
- Liaising with suppliers to implement agreements. These will include cost savings, warranty, payment terms, ordering systems and deliveries in time to keep the LEW network stocked correctly.
- Resolve supplier queries in relation to stock orders, in liaison with supplier, LEW branches and head office accounts teams.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage own workload
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Excellent numerical & analytical skills

QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Electrical wholesale procurement experience
- Experience of negotiation and B2B relationship building
- Working towards CIPS (or similar) professional qualification
