**The Role**:
Our Senior Buyer role is key to the organisation and will be critical in strengthening our busy team.

The role will be split across managing key supply chains for the business and assisting the Purchasing Manager with his strategic change drive for the department. The role will also include standing in for the Purchasing Manager for short periods

A wide range of Procurement activities are attached to this role including negotiation, tendering, sourcing, networking, relationship management and category analysis.

**The Person**:
At least 7 years’ experience in procurement would be required for this senior role with CIPD qualifications or equivalent being achieved or worked towards.

Excellent communication skills at all levels are a given in this type of role.

A solid demonstrable grounding in procurement good practice is required to be able to hit the ground running.

A demonstrable track record in improving supplier performance through relationship management is essential as this is a large part of the role.

Experience of modern ERP systems would be a definite advantage to this role as would project management experience.
