**The Role**

The general duties will lean heavily on maintaining and developing key relationships with suppliers to improve the service levels and reduce costs for the business.

As well as the usual activities of disseminating ERP data to convert to orders, negotiation and on time delivery management, this role also contains elements of project participation, category analysis and network development.

This role focuses heavily on mitigating supply chain risk and ensuring purchasing protocols are adhered to.

**The Person**

At least 5 years experience in procurement would be required for this role and a CIPS qualification would be an advantage but not essential.

The ability to multi task and work under pressure is needed in this fast paced environment.

Our new buyer will need to be a self motivating person who is driven by results and has a keen eye for detail.

As would be expected in this role demonstrable expertise in negotiation is a given as is confidence and the ability to communicate at all levels.

Manufacturing experience isn’t essential but would be a distinct advantage.

Finally all our staff need a strong financial awareness to understand the critical relevance of the procured materials to the business
