**RNIB is looking for a Special Events and Projects Manager.**
The RNIB Special Events Team delivers a programme of high-level cultivation, fundraising and stewardship events for external audiences, designed to foster meaningful relationships between RNIB and its supporters, donors and external stakeholders. Our specialevents programme is key to supporting RNIB's ability to raise the funds and awareness needed to help RNIB achieve its vision of a world without barriers for people with sight loss.
**What you will be doing**
We are seeking a self-motivated and collaborative Special Events and Project Manager to join our small, but vital team, to lead on some of RNIB's high profile events.
Recently this has included the flagship RNIB See Differently Awards, an audio-described Netflix premiere screening, conferences, major donor dinners and key project launches.
The Special Events and Projects Manager will have ownership of the planning and execution of a calendar of events, working closely with the relevant 'event owners' (including senior stakeholders) across RNIB to design, effectively manage and smoothly deliverthese events to meet their objectives.
Working on events with senior stakeholders across the organisation, the role benefits from the variety of opportunities and experiences planning events at RNIB presents.
**What you'll need to succeed in this role**
You will be an enthusiastic, organised, and experienced Events Manager, balancing creativity and energy with strong project management skills and a talent for engaging with senior stakeholders.
You'll need to have the ability to work on projects involving a range of different teams, with strong communication skills and the ability to adapt style to suit the audience.
As a flexible team player, you will be confident managing your objectives and able to maintain focus on developing and delivering your plans, whilst contributing to a wide variety of projects where your expertise will add value.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and resourceful individual with excellent attention to detail, who will ensure an exceptional experience for all stakeholders and the efficient delivery of RNIB events.
**In return**
We offer a competitive salary, a stimulating and supportive working environment and a benefits package including:
- 26 days holiday per year (plus bank holidays - pro rata), which increase with service
- Excellent pension schemes
- RNIB Rewards - Our employee discounts platform gives you access to offers at over 800 in-store and online retailers
- In-house training and development opportunities
- Flexible working arrangements - Each new member of staff will be given a laptop to make working flexibly easy
We're the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) and we're here for everyone affected by sight loss. Working for us means working for one of the UK's biggest charities, supporting almost two million people living with sight loss in the UK.
RNIB is leading the creation of a world where there are no barriers for people with sight loss. One of our key priorities is to ask people to see sight loss differently, reversing inaccurate perceptions and changing public behaviours so everyone expectsequal participation from people with sight loss and the creation of a fully accessible society.
