Event Manager

**Reports to: Event Director

Location: Hammersmith, London (hybrid working plus global travel)

Contract: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: £42,000 to £50,000 per annum, including London weighting (depending on experience)

The Opportunity:
We are looking for a highly capable and confident Event Manager to join our team, working across a diverse portfolio of clients and managing a collaborative small team.

This is a delivery-focused role with a strong emphasis on live events, from conferences and exhibitions to tradeshows and branded environments.

The successful candidate will take real ownership of their projects. You'll plan ahead, anticipate challenges, lead the team and ensuring every detail is taken care of. You'll be naturally assertive, calm under pressure and skilled at leading both clients and teams to deliver exceptional results.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

• Leading the end-to-end planning and delivery of in-person events, ensuring smooth, on-time and on-budget execution.
• Developing detailed timelines, task lists and delivery schedules to stay ahead of project milestones.
• Managing client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact.
• Delegating effectively across project teams, ensuring clarity, accountability and quality.
• Overseeing event budgets, logistics, suppliers, production and on-site operations.
• Leading the design and delivery of branded environments, exhibition spaces and sponsor activations in line with client brand guidelines.
• Supporting speaker management processes where required.
• Providing calm, solution-focused leadership onsite, resolving issues before they escalate.
• Mentoring junior team members and fostering collaboration across the wider team.

The Person:
We are seeking an experienced Event Manager from a similar background, ideally within the technology, association, hospitality or B2B events space. You'll bring a proactive mindset, strong leadership and excellent communication skills.

Required skills include:

• Proactive and solutions-focused — always planning ahead and anticipating challenges.
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex events simultaneously.
• Strong leadership and delegation skills, with the confidence to guide and motivate teams.
• Excellent client-facing communication and presentation skills.
• Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and time management.
• In-depth understanding of event logistics, production, branding and stakeholder management.
• Experience with abstract or call-for-paper processes is an advantage.
• A collaborative team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Willingness to travel, including overseas, for site visits and event delivery.
• A second language (especially German, Spanish or French) would be highly beneficial but not essential.

In return we are offering a competitive salary of £42,000 to £50,000 per annum depending on experience, plus 25 days holiday plus bank holiday, pension scheme and a hybrid working environment. You'll also receive an overnight rate when staying away for events and time off in lieu for any weekend work.
