We have a great opportunity for a motivated and ambitious Company Secretariat Assistant to support the Senior Secretariat Assistant in maintaining a consistently high standard of statutory compliance.

Reporting to the Senior Secretariat Assistant and with day-to-day interaction with our senior stakeholders including subsidiary directors and senior executive management, you’ll support some of our committees, including our ESG Committee and Governance Forum, and may also be involved in the integration of new businesses into GGB-UK.

We are interesting in hearing from you if you company secretarial or Legal assistance experience within a regulated environment, or if you are studying for the Chartered Governance Institute (formerly ICSA) exams and interested in taking a step towards a career in Company Secretarial work.

**Your role**:

- Support the Senior Secretariat Assistant in ensuring effective statutory compliance for GGB-UK and GBS-UK subsidiaries, ensuring that Companies Act requirements are met, including making Companies House filings.
- Assist with the maintenance of statutory books and records within the Diligent / Blueprint system, liaising with our Group counterparts.
- Assist the Senior Secretariat Assistant in producing and distributing GGB-UK structure charts.
- Provide effective company secretarial support for certain Committees within GGB-UK, including the Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) Committee. Manage and administer meetings of these committees. Direct and co-ordinate the timely production and circulation of meeting papers, and meeting minutes. Ensure meeting actions are logged and followed through to completion.
- Develop an understanding of the FCA Senior Managers and Certification Regime, and use this in supporting the GGB-UK Governance Forum.
- Support the statutory accounts preparation process for GGB-UK and GBS-UK subsidiaries.
- Play an active role, alongside the Senior Secretariat Assistant, in the integration of newly-acquired entities into GGB-UK and GBS-UK.
- You’ll have a desire to develop the skills and experience for a successful career as a Company Secretary.
- Preferably some prior experience in company secretarial work, ideally in a regulated financial services business.
- Experience of using MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Visio knowledge advantageous but not essential
- Ability to use appropriate systems including Blueprint / Diligent and BoardVantage or equivalents would be beneficial
- High standards of integrity, discretion and confidentiality.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
