**Interim Deputy Director of Finance - immediate requirement**
**FTC: 6 Months**
**Reporting to:Director of Finance**
**Responsible for**:Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Head of Financial Accounting and Head of Finance Transformation

**Benefits**:£95,000, contributory defined pension, interest free loan, 30 days annual leave and extended Christmas and Easter break
**Purpose**:

- Lead the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Financial Accounting & Operations (Accounts Payable, Payroll and Accounts Receivable) teams, which includes management oversight of key outsourced service contracts.
- Review and develop financial processes, systems, procedures and controls to ensure they remain fit-for-purpose.
- Ensure budgetary and forecasting processes are robust, with clear accountability for delivery of financial plans throughout the organisation.
- Hold key oversight of the monthly management accounting cycle, ensuring the provision of excellent & timely financial reporting, decision support and insight to all relevant stakeholders.
- Lead on statutory reporting, ensuring compliance with the Higher Education SORP, Office for Students (OfS), HMRC and other regulatory requirements.
- Ensure the finance department is effectively managed, with a culture that is aligned to the College’s key values, and staff have access to necessary training and development opportunities.
- Provide support to the Director of Finance, with Board-level reporting**.**

**Ideal profile**:

- Strong stakeholder engagement and presentation at board level exposure
- Process improvement mindset and track record of implementing change.
- A fully qualified accountant - ACA, ACCA, ACMA CIPFA post 5 years qualification.
- Strategic capability
- Strong analytical and judgement skills.
- Communication, influencing and relationship management skills.
- Experience of managing a multi-disciplined finance team, with demonstrable ability to bring the best out in them.
