Housing and Employability Advisor Liverpool

We are looking for a committed Housing and Employability Advisor to join our team and provide tailored support to individuals facing obstacles in securing housing and employment opportunities. As a Housing and Employability Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in guiding individuals through the process of accessing suitable housing, developing essential employability skills, and overcoming barriers to sustainable employment.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assess individuals' housing needs and provide personalised housing support plans.
- Assist clients in navigating housing regulations, social housing systems, and local housing resources.
- Conduct housing assessments to identify suitable accommodation options and housing support services.
- Offer guidance on employability support strategies, including job coaching, CV writing, interview preparation, and job search techniques.
- Collaborate with external agencies, such as housing associations, local authorities, and employment services, to facilitate access to housing and employment opportunities.
- Advocate on behalf of clients to ensure their housing and employment needs are met.
- Provide one-to-one support tailored to each individual's housing and employment goals.
- Utilise strong communication skills to engage with clients and empower them to take positive steps towards housing stability and employment success.
- Stay updated on housing and employability trends, regulations, and best practices to inform service delivery.
- Commit to ongoing professional development in the fields of housing and employability support.
**Requirements**:
**Essential**:
- Demonstrated experience in providing housing support or employability services to individuals facing barriers to employment.
- Knowledge of housing regulations, social housing systems, and local housing resources.
- Experience in conducting housing assessments and developing housing support plans tailored to individual needs.
- Understanding of employability support strategies, including job coaching, CV writing, interview preparation, and job search techniques.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with external agencies, such as housing associations, local authorities, and employment services.
- Strong communication skills to engage with clients, advocate on their behalf, and facilitate access to housing and employment opportunities.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in the fields of housing and employability support.
Desired:
- Experience in occupational, clinical, or counselling psychology.
- Postgraduate qualifications in relevant fields.
- Previous experience working with the Department for Work and Pensions, Ministry of Justice, or NHS IAPT services.
