The CIO Global team is focused on the technology Global needs for the future. We’re here to turn our research and innovation into world class, profitable products and services; get products and services to market quickly with effortless experience for customers; align our 3-5 year business and technology roadmaps and; be constructive disrupters for technology transformation.

This Specialist Technology Partner role works closely with CIO, Global and Digital colleagues to input to and support delivery of the sales and commercial technology roadmap, looking at IT from the Generate Demand stage (e.g. marketing) through to Contract signing, as well as sales enablement and training, and commercial areas in Global like contract lifecycle management and billing.

The role involves researching new technology, assessing the benefits aligned to the overall strategy, and supporting business case creation in order to downstream innovation. This role also evaluates existing roadmap items, to validate whether they’re providing the expected benefit and to keep Technology and Global aligned on expectations and outcomes.

**You'll have the following responsibilities**
- Collaborate with the business to identify key opportunities to improve the ways of working through better use of technology by creating business cases (cost/benefits analysis) they can take forward.
- Capability analysis of existing and future roadmap technology against the commercial and customer experience ambitions of Global.
- Co-ordinate proof of concepts to validate the business case and potential of new concepts. Input into the annual plan and capex plan to drive the IT strategy into reality, prioritising demand and investment recommendations to achieve commercial outcomes and create business value.
- Establish consistent approaches to keeping key senior stakeholders across Technology and Global engaged in strategy and present delivery, including running workshops and meetings.
- Research trends and market disruptions, searching for emerging new technology that will drive opportunity/changes into our business, sharing outputs and making recommendations to influence the CTIO Director of Sales & Commercial technology on the end to end strategy.

**You'll have the following skills & experience**
- Strong communicator, able to build relationships, influence and facilitate decision-making across multiple stakeholders, up to at least Director level across Technology, Group and Global.
- Able to understand how aspects of IT and Network combine to create services and products, and be able to establish an adequate understanding of how they meet future capability requirements.
- Understands the commercial needs of the business evaluating risks, benefits and returns for technology solutions to make clear recommendations to decision makers.
- Strong skills in building the case for change using data and analytical techniques, and communicating this to business audiences. Identifies issues and takes ownership to get to the root cause and address to improve processes and outcomes.
- Experience of working across a wide range of internal and external technology suppliers to align plans and deliver business outcomes.
