**What you’ll be doing**
Within our Household Metering Team, we have an opening for an experienced, driven and detailed Metering Project Manager.Green Economic Recovery allows Thames Water to invest in new and innovative schemes to help the green recovery, delivering lasting environmentalimprovements for current and future generations, while meeting the economic and social challenges the currently faced within the UK.
As the Metering Project Manager you will lead in the delivery and performance management of the Green Economic Recovery led Smart Metering Programme installing over 200,000 digital meters.
You will be heavily involved in driving a once in a generation industry leading smart metering programme, which has been designed to completely transform the way in which our customers use water and to drive a smart network data led approach to how we operateand invest in our water network that will deliver a reduction in leakage.
You the Project Manager will be accountable for the delivery of a range of technical services through the project lifecycle providing project teams with in-depth technical expertise.
Being the Metering Project Manager in this position will also involve:

- Establishing and continuously promoting an effective and compliant health, safety & environment culture across our projects and our Delivery Partners
- Manage activities of multi-disciplinary project teams in accordance with project delivery procedures
- Manage delivery of project outputs focusing on time and budgetary constraints, ensuring quality and compliance are met
- To create, set and monitor KPI’s through planning and forecasting resource requirements
- Coaching and mentoring others to ensure continuous improvement within the team and overall culture of accountability and achievements
- Initiating, developing and maintaining good communication and good relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, ensuring our standards are met and customers satisfied

**What you should bring to the role**
As the appointed Metering Project Manager, you will be passionate about water resources and driving a change in behaviour towards water usage in order to reduce water demand in support of our significant challenge around water resources in the Thames Waterarea.
As the Metering Project Manager, you might have past experiences as a PM working on CAPEX or OPEX projects
You as the Metering Project Manager will be well versed in the effective management of HSQE aspects, committed to promoting an effective safety culture across all teams. Ensuring all health and safety issues are addressed in a systematic manner and focus oncontinuous improvement
You will have a proven history in within performance management, leading teams both internal and external teams, delivery partners and sub-contractors all required to deliver the Green Economic Recovery Metering programme
You will be keen to drive a customer focussed service to deliver an outstanding service to internal and external customers. You will be used to conducting close stakeholder management and effective liaisons
Ultimately, you the Metering project manager will be totally focused and committed on continuous improvement.
