Our client is currently looking to recruit a Street Works Coordinator to join their team on the Thames Water Smart Metering contract in Langley, Slough.
As a Street Works Co-Ordinator you will be part of their friendly Street Works Team who are responsible for all the submissions and management of permits across the contract
Our client plays a key role in the AMP6 Metering contract. The main purpose of the contract is to deliver the metering?programme for Thames Water, engaging customers in the process, and installing and replacing water meters. With a workforce of more than2,500 operating daily across the contract in local communities, their people work hard to keep customers connected and taps flowing.

**This is a hybrid, remote/office based role**. **but if preferred they have a permanent position in the office**
**As a Street Works Coordinator your duties & responsibilities will be**:
- Working closely to build strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders including relevant Highway Authorities, internal schedulers and Thames Water operations
- Raising permits and notices in accordance with NRSWA using Street Manager permit management system
- Managing active permits and notices to maintain compliance at all stages of the job, preventing Fixed Penalty notices and overrun charges.
- Supporting with customer complaints and escalations as and when requested by Thames Water and Customer Care.
- Responding to Highway Authority comments and Modification Requests promptly.
- Updating and reporting from corporate work management systems to track work progress and maintain an accurate audit trail of permit and notice history.
- Managing notices and permits in line with Traffic Management requirements, including but not limited to: CAD drawings, bus stop suspensions and parking bay suspensions.
**Skills & Knowledge Requirements**
In order to carry out this role effectively you will have excellent organisational skills and an ability to pay close attention to detail. Ideally you will have but not necessary knowledge of relevant Street Works Legislation in particular New Roads andStreet Works Act 1991 (NRSWA) and the Code of Practice for Inspections.
Knowledge of notice management systems and specialised work management systems are preferable but not necessary of-Street Manager, and Oracle Field Services.
In addition to this, you will have excellent time management and demonstrable negotiation skills, as you will be working to tight deadlines and negotiating across different levels within organisations.

The Role allows for home working with all equipment provided, it will however be necessary to visit the office once every 6 to 8 weeks (Flexible), If preferred they can have a position set up in permanent modern air condition office with all amenities.
