EMA Patient Transport are a well established Patient Transport business operating in the Healthcare Sector. We provide specialist mental health secure transport and non emergency patient transport to the NHS, local authority, CCGs and individuals. We are recruiting for an efficient and friendly Patient Transport Coordinator (PTC) to act as first point of contact for the Company, and provide excellent customer service to customers, clients and our ambulance crews. Could this be you?
A new leadership team has recently been introduced into the business, supporting the companies continual fast growth plans. This is an excellent opportunity for you to join us as a Patient Transport Coordinator. You will be able to make a positive impact to the business with supporting our growth, as well as having an estimable and satisfying career.
**What will we give you**:
- £10.50 per hour per annum
- 36 hours per week, on a rolling two week rota. Business hours are 8:00am
- 8:00pm 7-days a week, so weekend working is required.

**Key Responsibilities and Duties**:
- Answer incoming calls from customers, hospitals, G.P surgeries and clinics for queries and to take bookings for transportation of patients to and from appointments, hospital transfers and out of area transfers
- Raise Quotations and Invoices
- Record patient and booking details sensitively and accurately, in line with Data Protection
- Liaise with our Ambulance Crews
- Liaise with other Stakeholders including NHS, Local Authority and other Agencies
- Logistical Planning of crews and Journeys
- Have an awareness of safeguarding practices and the knowledge and skills to assist and support all service users and work colleagues
- Hand overs/reporting to colleagues/management
- General Office Administration as and when required.
**The perfect person**:
- Good basic educational background
- Previous experience working with patients in an administrative capacity
- Customer Service experience
- Computer literacy and keyboard skills
- Experience of Working to deadlines
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritise
- Able to work independently and as a team member
- Flexible approach to working hours
- Respect for confidentiality
- Ability to deal with sensitive issues appropriately
- Enthusiastic and motivated

**Salary**: £10.50 per hour
