The Technology Services team assure and manage the delivery of Technology Services to DHSC staff. Technology Services is comprised of 2 teams, delivering the core technology infrastructure and associated services, and key business systems. Both teams have a prime directive to deliver a quality customer service and robust, performant services to DHSC.

The teams deliver in line with DDAT standards, and use ITIL service management processes to ensure effective delivery.

These teams exist in the wider Workspace, Information, Security and Technology Directorate (WIST) which provides strategic leadership on property, technology, information management and security services across DHSC and its arm's length bodies.

**Job description**:
As a Service Owner in the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), you will provide ownership in delivering key Technology Services provided to DHSC.

Reporting to the Head of IT Service Management, these SEO roles each lead a small team and play a key part in delivering on our strategic and operational objectives, whilst contributing to make the Department a great and efficient place to work.

The role holder will need to operate in a culture of openness and honesty, demonstrating a commitment to delivery and change through involvement and empowerment, and by delivering results.

**Person specification**:
These roles offer you the opportunity to join an excellent team, in an exciting environment, working hard to deliver Ministerial commitments for the benefit of citizens.

You will have a strong background and level of experience in IT Service Management and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment being proactive and adaptable.

You will be responsible for ensuring that the quality-of-service received by our users is of the highest standards and that our platforms and services are successfully used across DHSC and deliver their intended benefits.

Two roles are currently available:
The first role is the Service Owner for Continual Service Improvement. This role is responsible for managing the ITIL function of Continual Service Improvement and Insights and Analytics for the team.

Reporting to the Head of IT Service Management, a major part of the role will involve shaping our services to improve them to deliver the best outcomes for DHSC. Supported by your team you will:

- Work with our advanced Insights and Analytics tooling, to understand the performance of our services and our users digital experience.
- Use insights, to play a major part in helping Technology Services to continually improve our delivery and tune our services effectively to meet customer needs.
- The second role is the Service Owner for Access, Change and Performance. This role is responsible for Access, Capacity, Change, Service Continuity, Performance and Transition Management.

Reporting to the Head of IT Service Management and supported by your team, you will:

- Ensure effective change is delivered, KPIs achieved and effective service transition.
- Be responsible for managing supplier delivery of our cloud-based services ensuring that services are available, have viable Business Continuity plans, and sufficient capacity to meet DHSC business need.
- Work with our advanced Insights and Analytics tooling to manage the delivery of our services working with suppliers to ensure our quality of service is maintained.
