**Summary of the role**:

As Product Owner you will be a safe pair of hands that provide stakeholders with the confidence in the ability and capability to deliver.

You’ll be collaborating with business analysts, scrum masters, software and specialist engineers as well as directly working with risk stakeholders some of whom will be regulatory SMEs.

You need to be confident, highly motivated and with a passion for working with people and technology, the Product Owner will be responsible for leading and supporting teams to deliver their best work.

**As part of your duties, you will be responsible for**:

- This role is with one of the EXL banking clients where the Bank has undertaken a journey to build and expand a model execution platform for it’s Risk users.
- The role of Product Owner will be to deliver change to meet critical obligations to the Regulatory Authority.
- The Product Owner will lead a team which is focused on the evolution of model execution platform. This platform aims to be the strategic transition platform for executing all Regulatory models. Once developed you’ll be involved in shaping and executing the future bank roadmap which includes: Developing Model Execution Platform to ensure it meets all regulatory requirements of a Prudential execution platform.
- Enhancing the existing models on the execution platform. Migrating more models to the execution platform to make them more efficient and consistent. Further transformation of Capital & IFRS9 processes - extend benefits across other Regulatory models across all Retail portfolios; Enablement of enhancements beyond model execution: Model monitoring, development, analytics, and reporting Collaborating with the other programmes within Prudential & Analytics - CRDIV, Basel and Moody’s to ensure clear interlock on scope/prioritisation of activities and draw on business SMEs.

**Qualifications and experience we consider to be essential for the role**:

- Product Owner experience of leading teams using Agile/Scrum methodologies, driving forward a clear product vision, shape and manage product backlogs with a focus on achieving agreed outcomes and deliverables
- Ability to quickly understand a problem, articulate possible solutions in a slide format, and recommend a way forward
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to use data and insights to build a product vision, define product features and continually iterate your product to achieve optimal customer outcomes
- Experience of financial planning and cost control: a track record of delivering within budget and using resources effectively
- Appreciation of the technical landscape, ability to support the shaping of solutions with the ability to articulate this in a language that is reflective of the audience
- Experience working within a risk change environment would be an advantage
- An experienced strong Product Owner
- Strong JIRA/Agile experience
- Refine a product backlog, supporting a product vision, features, epics and user stories that make our product journeys easy for our customers
- Good communication & organisation skills
- Have experience supporting and contributing to our fortnightly sprint cycles
- Knowledge of Banking prudential landscapes is beneficial but not mandatory
