This NEW position is a standalone role for an independent charity based in Sussex. Focus Foundation is a grant-giving charitable foundation that supports grass-roots charities, particularly those engaged in improving the lives of underprivileged children and young people, and those suffering with poor mental health. In the last 18 months they have issued grants that have improved the lives of over 11,000 people across the UK.

As the philanthropic arm of Focus Group, a UK wide comms & IT business, they have access to thousands of businesses, partners and suppliers and in just over a year has raised over £250,000. The charity now needs a Marketing & Communications Coordinator to help develop and deliver a programme of marketing and communications that will showcase the work that the charity does and elevate their profile and impact to help achieve their aims of fundraising and granting over £1m to charitable causes each year.
- the Marketing and Communications Coordinator will be responsible for developing and delivering a programme of ongoing communications and that will help build the profile, promote the core values and create evidence based appeal, both with internal and external audiences. The position will focus on curating the tone of voice and overall perception of the charity via press coverage, events, social media, cast studies, internal documents and internal communications.

Main duties will include:

- Owning the Marketing & Communications agenda, developing a programme of ongoing marketing and communications to build the profile of the charity and create evidence based appeal.
- Developing a deep understanding of the work we do, and its impact, keeping up to date with projects and services to tell accurate and authentic stories.
- Taking the lead on generating creative, engaging content and ideas for fundraising and brand awareness campaigns that drive increased targeted engagement to showcase our work and deliver our fundraising ambition.
- Producing and delivering all internal and external communications, including website, social media, press releases, newsletters, case studies, impact reports, both printed and digital promotional material, signage and related items, to include managing external partners and agencies involved in communications delivery, ensuring high quality work
- An experienced marketing and communications manager - enthusiastic, with a collaborative approach to achieving goals through knowledge-sharing.
- Excellent at building rapport and developing good working relationships.
- A multi-tasker with a sense of urgency for goal achievement.
- An innovative, practical and creative problem-solver - a big picture thinker that responds quickly to varied activities and changing conditions.
- Experienced in developing and delivering a marketing and communication strategy.

Applications will be particularly welcome from those in the charity/not-for-profit sector with a marketing, PR and communications background.

This role is based from home but you must live locally to the Brighton and Hove area as regular meetings will be required. The hours are very flexible to work around you, but a minimum of 20 is essential.

**Salary**: £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
