Spire Washington is a 35 in-patient bedded hospital with 10 consultation and 2 treatment rooms based just off junction 63 of the A1 with great commuter links. Our Hospital offers a range of services and facilities including four operating theatres covering specialities including Orthopaedics and Gynaecology and a full Diagnostic suite.

Spire Washington are recruiting for an Assistant Practitioner in Radiology to join their friendly and supportive Imaging Team. There is a variety of shifts for this post across 6 days and with excellent development opportunities available.

You will undertake general radiographic procedures on adult patients adhering to departmental protocols under the supervision of a qualified radiographer. You will also work closely with our team of Radiologist to assist and chaperone their specialist sessions.

We pride ourselves on having a friendly and highly experienced team with a range of new equipment.

The Radiology department has 1 DR general room, replaced last year ,integrated with PACS and a flat plate interventional room, CT scanner, MRI scanner, and Ultrasound services.

There may also be the opportunity to develop into other areas within A.P. specialty if desired.

**Duties and responsibilities**:

- Provision of plain film imaging, chaperoning for U/S and Fluoro procedures
- To perform under supervision of a qualified radiographer
- To carry out examinations that are adequate for radiological interpretation
- To perform regular Quality Assurance tests on the X-ray equipment and ensure that the results are accurately logged;
- To inform the Senior Radiographer or Quality Assurance Radiographer immediately of any results that are outside agreed parameters.
- To check and document identity and demographic details of clients according to
- Departmental practice.

**Who we're looking for**
- Previous Experience in an Assistant Practitioner role.
- Good level of literacy
- Basic awareness of health, safety and hygiene
