Are you an experienced and passionate leader in children’s residential care?
We’re seeking a **Responsible Individual (Social Care Consultant)** to provide strategic oversight, professional guidance, and operational leadership across multiple children’s homes in the North West.
This pivotal role offers the opportunity to shape high-quality services, ensure regulatory excellence, and make a lasting difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Ensure full compliance with **Ofsted regulations**, **Children’s Homes Regulations 2015**, and **Quality Standards**.
- Provide visible leadership, coaching, and professional support to Registered Managers.
- Oversee and embed robust safeguarding practices across all services.
- Lead homes confidently through Ofsted inspections, achieving _Good_ or _Outstanding_ ratings.
- Manage budgets, staffing, and resources to ensure operational excellence.
- Build effective relationships with local authorities, social workers, and regulatory bodies.
- Drive staff development, training, and performance management.
- Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and child-centred practice.
**About You**
- Minimum **3 years’ experience** in a senior leadership or consultancy role within children’s residential care.
- **NVQ Level 5 Diploma** in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent / working towards).
- Excellent understanding of safeguarding, regulatory frameworks, and Ofsted standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Experience in compliance, operational management, and budget oversight.
- **Full UK driving licence** and willingness to travel across the North West.
- Passionate about improving outcomes and making a genuine difference in children’s lives.
