**Job Title**: Responsible Individual - Children's Residential Homes
**Location**: Remote (with travel across North West)
**Salary**: £50,000 - £65,000 per year (including bonus)
**Contract**: Full-time, Permanent
**Schedule**: Monday to Friday

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced **Social Care Consultant** to provide leadership, strategic oversight, and professional guidance across multiple children’s residential homes in Greater London.

In this pivotal role, you will ensure the highest standards of care, maintain robust safeguarding, and drive full regulatory compliance—all while inspiring Registered Managers and their teams to deliver exceptional outcomes for children and young people.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations, Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, and Quality Standards.
- Provide visible leadership, coaching, and professional support to Registered Managers.
- Oversee safeguarding policies and embed safe, accountable practices across all services.
- Lead homes confidently through Ofsted inspections, aiming for ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ results.
- Manage budgets, staffing, and resources to achieve operational excellence.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, social workers, and regulatory bodies.
- Drive staff training, development, and performance management initiatives.
- Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and child-centred practice.

About You
- Minimum 3 years’ senior leadership or consultancy experience in children’s residential care.
- NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent/working towards).
- Excellent knowledge of safeguarding legislation, regulatory frameworks, and Ofsted inspection standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in compliance, operational oversight, and budget management.
- Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Greater London.
