**Our Submarines Business**

Our Submarines business has been safely delivering world class submarines to the UK Royal Navy for more than a century.

The Astute class will equip the Royal Navy with its largest and most capable generation of attack submarines. We are responsible for the design, build, test and commissioning of these state-of-the-art vessels. In total, seven boats will make up the fleet, each weighing a mighty 7,400 tonnes.

Dreadnought is the successor to the Vanguard class of nuclear deterrent submarines. We will deliver four submarines to the Royal Navy, with the first submarine entering service in the early 2030s. Dreadnought is widely considered to be one of the world's most complex engineering challenges.

**Procurement Leader**

Would you like to join a busy well organised Central Supply Chain Function here at BAE Systems?

The role within this team will allow you to become focussed on Risk, Intelligence, Strategy, Communication and Customer Engagement.

You will be part of a new team being built to support the strategic approach within Supply Chain.

This opportunity will provide the opportunity to help shape the future of Supply Chain and develop more strategic approaches with suppliers.

**Your main responsibilities as a Procurement Leader will involve**:
Coordinating engagement for strategic suppliers of BAE

Supporting & developing future Supply Chain designs & solutions within the business

Identifying & exploiting opportunities to work collaboratively within the wider Supply Chain function

Liaising and interfacing with customers of BAE

**Your skills and qualifications**:
Sound understanding of the Supply Chain Function

Excellent interpersonal skills

Analytic mindset

Pro-active

CIPS / APM are desirable but not essential for this role

**What we are looking for in you**:
A self-starter with an eye for detail who can manage their diary and plan around a busy day.
