**PROCUREMENT LEADER**

**Location**:Barrow-in-Furness with potential hybrid working (circa 2 days per fortnight in office)

**Salary**: £42,315 + depending on experience

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Manage own contracts in accordance with all the Supply Chain processes and procedures
- Maintain the required levels of reporting across your team associated with:

- progress in Development and Production phases
- cost management
- spend management
- Supplier Performance Reviews
- schedule delivery performance of data and hardware
- Lead all aspects of Supplier Management including negotiation of contracts, conducting Contract Status Reviews, performance improvements and supplier development activities
- Maintenance and creation of Purchase Orders in SAP & associated purchasing systems
- Facilitate and/or lead the Life Cycle Management (LCM) requirements associated with the work package and that of the team.
- Be accountable for all related Supply Chain activity in line with area of responsibility
- There is an expectation for you to visit supplier sites across the UK

**Your skills and experiences**:
**Essential**:

- Experience of early concept projects
- Excellent Stakeholder Management
- Previous experience of having worked with key strategic suppliers

**Desirable**:

- Experience of working within secondary propulsion
- Previously held line management responsibility

**The Secondary Propulsion team**:
This team is critical to the success of the submarine manufacture as it deals primarily with the turbo generators and gear box. As a Procurement Leader, you will be responsible for the delivery of the Submarines unit Supply Chain requirements, ensuring materials and services are provided within budget, to schedule and in full compliance with the technical and quality requirements across multiple suppliers.
