**Job title**:Procurement Leader

**Location**:Barrow-in-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements.

**Salary**: £43,373+ depending on skills and experience

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Managing the supplier responsibilities during delivery, installation and commissioning of key equipment
- Working with Engineering, Operations and Quality to deliver equipment from suppliers that meets our specification, quality, schedule and cost requirements
- Leading these multi discipline activities e.g. weekly project reviews with Suppliers, Factory Acceptance Tests of equipment, quarterly business reviews, in yard supplier visits etc.
- Managing the contract with each supplier
- Delivery of agreed milestones to cost and schedule
- Negotiate any contract changes with suppliers
- Investigate and resolve claims for delay or poor performance
- Using the ERP system to manage Purchase Orders and other deliverables

**Your skills and experiences**:

- Experience of direct procurement in similar complex environments
- Track record of managing complex contracts in a delivery phase
- Excellent collaboration and team working skills
- Project Management and Control
- Risk and opportunity management
- Ability to present complex information clearly
- Commercial and Contracting knowledge is advantageous
- Strong communicator and influencer

**The Supply Chain team**:
You will be working as part of a Procurement team who are responsible for managing major high value and complex contracts with significant defence suppliers.

You will be part of our dynamic fast paced Submarine build programme where you will be part of the execution of the end-to-end Procurement process. You will manage the supplier performance and improvement activity, the delivery of information, products and services. As well as developing, maintaining, and managing stakeholders.
