**Key Duties**
- Provide professional advice and guidance related to the welfare issues experienced by Together at Cardiff students; adhering to processes and procedures, and using judgement and creativity to suggest the most appropriate course of action, as well as ensuring complex and conceptual issues are understood.
- Investigate and analyse specific issues that impact Together at Cardiff student groups, to create recommendations to improve the experience for staff and students using up to date sector knowledge.
- Ensure that the provision of Together at Cardiff is delivered to the institution, proactively changing the delivery according to customer requirements.
- Collaborate with others in order to make recommendations for developments of established processes and procedures.
- Establish working relationships with key contacts, developing appropriate communication links with colleagues across the University and make connections with external bodies including charities and Local Authorities.
- Support in the creation of specific working groups with colleagues across the University to achieve school/departmental objectives.
- Supervise specific project teams on an occasional basis to accomplish key objectives.
- Develop and deliver training and presentations on the support available from Together at Cardiff.
- Undertake a variety of administrative duties to support the department.
- Provide information to colleagues across the University on the support available from Together at Cardiff as required.

**Essential Criteria**
**Qualifications and Education**
- Degree/NVQ 4 or equivalent Professional membership/experience.
**Knowledge, Skills and Experience**
- Experience of working with people from at least one of the groups that Together at Cardiff support.
- Able to demonstrate professional knowledge of the Together at Cardiff student groups to give advice and guidance to internal and external colleagues.
- Experience of supporting and organising events, such as small group community events, including the ability to demonstrate outcomes and impact.
**Customer Service, Communication and Team Working**
- Ability to communicate conceptually detailed and complex information effectively and professionally with a wide range of people. This includes the ability to deliver talks to students, provide one-to-one advice and guidance, as well as attending key meetings (e.g meeting social workers).
- Evidence of ability to explore students’ needs and adapt the service accordingly to ensure a quality service is delivered.
**Planning, Analysis and Problem solving**
- Evidence of ability to solve expansive problems using initiative and creativity; identifying and proposing practical solutions and resolving problems with range of potential outcomes.
- Evidence of demonstrable knowledge of at least one of the groups within an area that Together at Cardiff supports developments in.
- Evidence of ability to work unsupervised to deadlines, planning and setting priorities for own work and that of others and monitoring progress.
**Other**
- A willingness to undertake further training and development.
**Desirable Criteria**
- Lived experience of one of the groups supported by Together at Cardiff.
- Postgraduate/Professional qualification.
- Experience of working in a student-facing role within an Higher Education environment.
- Fluency in Welsh, written and oral.
- Experience with updating webpages and social media pages.
