We are recruiting for an energetic Café Assistant, with Barista experience, to join our friendly Front of House team in our constantly evolving food and retail business.

Our busy Café, located at the heart of the Garden Centre, seats a maximum of 200 hungry diners, all of whom will require a courteous, friendly, and efficient service from our Café Assistants.

Please note this role will require the ability to stand for extended periods of time.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Preparing all the hot drinks
- Providing excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and answering any questions about the menu or cafe policies.
- Serving beverages and brunch style food.
- Handling cash transactions, processing payments, and providing accurate change to customers.
- Operating cash registers or point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Keeping the cafe clean and organised, including wiping down tables, counters, and equipment, as well as sweeping and mopping floors.
- Ensuring that condiment stations and dining areas are well-stocked and tidy.

**Hours of Work**
- Wednesday to Sunday
- 36 hours per week
- All shifts include a 30-minute unpaid break
- Closed Easter Sunday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, 27th December and New Year’s Day
- 1+ year of Barista experience (essential)
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
- A keen eye for detail, never compromising on standards.
- Punctual and reliable.
