Transport Operations Manager

**About the role**

An opportunity has arisen for a Transport Operations Manager to join Booker Retail Partners. The Transport Operations Manager will support the site General Manager in the efficient and cost effective management of all transport operations.

As part of the site management team, the Transport Operations Manager play a proactive role in the development of site and divisional initiatives.

**Role Responsibility**

The Transport Operations Manager is responsible for managing all day-to-day operational aspects of the transport operation at the site, including: human resource management, operational planning, routing, scheduling and compliance with transport legislation

There is also responsibility to collect, analyse and evaluate performance data and prepares appropriate reports, financial projections and strategic and operational recommendations

**You will need**

To be successful in this role, it is essential you educated to GCSE standard or equivalent in Maths and English, Drivers CPC holder and be an “O” Licence Holder. If you have a Class 1 or 2 Licence, that would an advantage.

You will have knowledge of the transport function within the FMCG distribution industry, functional operations experience, knowledge of transport legislation and an appreciation of the warehouse function within the FMCG distribution industry would be useful.

Your skill set will include being PC literate and have the ability to produce reports using the MS Office suite, effective people management and communication at all levels.
