**Responsibilities & Duties**:

- Planning, directing, and controlling the activities of the transport fleet.
- Ensuring planned routes are in line with working time directive and drivers' hours
- Producing transport plans and routes.
- Accurate use of vehicle tracking system, monitoring deliveries, failures and rejections.
- Assisting the Ops Manager to ensure the department runs efficiently and effectively.
- Liaising with customers as required on deliveries and any issues.
- Ensuring the department provides a quality first class service to the customer though careful planning.
- Monitor driver performance and ensure effective management of available resources.
- Maintaining excellent working relationships with drivers, keeping a consistent and accurate flow of communication.
- Full compliance to Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme requirements.
- Ensure driver compliance is in line with current legislation and that all company assets are legal, compliant and operate safely.
- Investigate all driver infringements in line with internal processes.
- Extensive geographical knowledge of London essential.
- Ability to adapt in a changing environment.
- Proactive problem-solving capabilities.
- Knowledge of Transport legislation.
- IT literate - Excel and Word are essential.
- Very good attention to detail and strong organisational capabilities.
- Punctuality, flexibility, and positivity.
- Able to work to deadlines and meet targets.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Driven and self-motivated.
