As our **Credit Controller**, you will manage the sales ledger on a day-to-day basis, building communication and relationships with our customers to ensure prompt payment for all monies due to the company in line with the company’s credit management policy. The Credit Control team has responsibility of up to 1,000 customers, both domestic, export and inter-company balances with a debt level of c£10m across 3 team members.

**Your key responsibilities as our Credit Controller** **will include**:

- Undertaking daily processing/posting in AS (ERP system) of invoices and credit notes
- Undertaking daily posting in AX of cash receipts to the appropriate accounts and the allocation/reconciliation of the cash receipts along with any settlement discounts in all currencies
- Working in customer portals to obtain remittances and other documents as and when required
- Resolving all short payments/queries to maximise the cash inflow to the company. Requesting proof of delivery from carriers and seeking authorisation to credit for pricing queries/collections
- Generating and posting collection letters and customer statements and telephoning customers in order to expedite payment of overdue monies on a monthly basis
- Processing customer payments via the online system in all currencies
- Reviewing and explaining debtor balances monthly with the team and Line Manager
- Understanding and implementing the Credit Insurance policy, requesting and maintaining credit limits and ensuring the company operated within the policy rules
- Assisting with the month-end routine, closing the sales ledger and generating debtors reports
- Creating new customer accounts

- Knowledge of accounting systems

- Account reconciliation skills
- Good computer skills including Excel
- A good telephone manner
- Flexibility
- A self-motivated individual
- The ability to work on own initiative

**Desirable**
- Experience of Microsoft Dynamics AX
- 2 years’ previous experience
